Helping Bring The Den to Life

In July 2025, Angleton High School celebrated the opening of The Den, a student resource center designed to provide essential items to students who need them.

Years in the making, the project became a reality through the collaborative efforts of Angleton ISD, the Angleton ISD Education Foundation, the Angleton Rotary Club, and generous community supporters.

Angleton High School graduate and NFL veteran Quandre Diggs returned to his hometown to help celebrate the opening and share the importance of giving back to the community.

The Den provides students with access to snacks, hygiene products, school supplies, clothing, shoes, and other necessities in a welcoming and confidential environment.

Students can receive assistance without income requirements or proof of need. They can schedule confidential appointments through Google Classroom or be referred by teachers and counselors.

During the July 2025 opening, then-Rotary President Joe Magnuson presented a $5,000 donation on behalf of the Angleton Rotary Club to help stock the shelves and support the center's mission.

Continuing Our Support in 2026

On Monday, October 26, 2026, Angleton Rotary Club members returned to Angleton High School for a special luncheon hosted at the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Bistro.

The club enjoyed a meal prepared and served by talented culinary students, offering a firsthand look at the skills and opportunities available through the district's CTE programs.

Members also heard updates on exciting developments throughout Angleton ISD, learned more about the ongoing work of the Angleton ISD Education Foundation, and toured The Den to see how the resource center continues to make a difference.

One of the highlights of the luncheon was the presentation of an additional $10,000 grant to The Den, reaffirming the club's commitment to helping students access the resources they need to succeed.

A Lasting Investment in Our Community

For the Angleton Rotary Club, supporting The Den is about more than writing a check. It's about recognizing a need in our community and working alongside others to make a meaningful difference.

In just over a year, the club has contributed $15,000 to help provide students with everyday essentials that can make a difference in their confidence, well-being, and ability to focus on learning.

The Den is a reminder of what can happen when schools, community organizations, businesses, and individuals come together with a shared purpose.

We are grateful to Angleton ISD, the Angleton ISD Education Foundation, and everyone who continues to make this valuable resource available to local students.

At Angleton Rotary, Service Above Self is more than our motto. It's our commitment to the community we call home.

And we're proud to continue that commitment, one student and one opportunity at a time.
